a. Give new battery or rectified battery.
b. Provide another model of the same capacity as settlement of the warranty, in the event of any battery model having been phased out or discontinued.
05 Defective Battery arising out of free replacement becomes the property of the Company & no scrap rebate shall be given for the battery.
06 In case of warranty replacement, warranty period of replaced battery will still be considered from the date of sale or manufacturing of the first sold battery as defined in point no. 1 above i.e., warranty replacement shall not alter warranty on the original sale. Consequently, the balance warranty period and/or the formal revalidation of the same will be suitably discharged by the Company and/or will be physically marked on the replaced battery.

HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: Risk of fire explosion. Do not disassemble or incinerate.
We recommend charging the battery at an ambient temperature of 5° - 35°C to prevent any adverse effect on its effective life.
The battery should never be left in discharged condition, otherwise the capacity to hold the charge may not be recovered. Immediate recharging recommended.
The battery should be secured against excessive impact or vibration. We recommend installation of the battery at the lowest level of the equipment and farthest from the heat source.
New and old batteries should never be used in series. Batteries of different capacities make and performances should never be used in the same bank. We do not recommend more than 3 parallel strings whatsoever.
Discover the cause and replace any defective batteries if abnormalities noticed on voltage, heat, electrolyte, leakage, r physical deformities.
No attempts to be made to reverse charge the battery. While using a long-stored battery, supplementary charging is recommended.
We recommend transporting the battery in the upright position. Never bend the terminals nor solder directly. Always use the appropriate connectors.
Storage of new battery beyond 3 months is not recommended and freshening charge must be given before use.
CAUTION
In your interest it is strongly recommended that your Exide battery is checked and serviced by an authorized Exide service dealer.
HINTS ON CARE OF YOUR BATTERY
1The battery should be firmly secured in the cradle. Please ensure that the cable clamps fit tightly and properly on the terminals. A loosely held battery vibrates and bounces, causing damage to the container and the plates.
2The top of the battery must be kept clean & dry. Petroleum jelly should be applied to cable clamps & terminals. Never apply grease. Terminal corrosion, dirt & moisture cause loss of power & make the battery weak.
3Get fan belt, electrical wiring, dynamo/alternator, regulator and battery open circuit voltage checked regularly. A faulty electrical system will damage the battery.
4Vent plugs of Maintenance Free Batteries should be opened with a vent plug opener only. Do not use a screwdriver.
5The electrolyte level should be up to the bottom of the filling-hole.
6Use only good quality, pure distilled water for topping. Do not top up with acid/ electrolyte/mineral water or tap water.
7To get maximum life, it is advised that battery and auto electrical checks be carried out once every three months.
CAUTION
Keep away from Sparks, Cigarettes and Open Flames. These can cause explosions.
Avoid metallic contact across terminals, as this can result in short circuits & sparking.
It is strongly recommended not to use any additives or dopes.
Keep out of reach of children.
